Ondo PDP faction takes power-sharing crisis to Abuja

Aggrieved members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ondo State have
again taken their disenchantment with the harmonisation of political
offices with the Governor Olusegun Mimiko faction to Abuja.
The dissatisfied members, who belong to the faction of the PDP, led by
the former State Chairman, Mr. Ebenezer Alabi, visited Abuja on Monday
for planned meetings with the top leadership of the PDP and the
President to deal with issues thrown up by the defection of Mimiko to
the PDP.
Alabi and other members of the dissolved State Executive Committee
were scheduled to hold a meeting with the Special Adviser to the
President on Niger Delta, Mr. Kingsley Kuku, by 6pm on Monday.
The PDP members are also billed to meet with the Chief of Staff to the
President, Brig. Gen. Jones Arogbofa, within the week .
The aggrieved members are also said to be planning to take their
grouse to the President for his intervention through the Chief of
Staff, who is from Ondo State.
According to a source, the members are not happy with the number of
slots given to Mimiko in the contentious harmonisation arrangement.
